BROKEN SPHERE
BROKEN SPHERE
programmed by Remo De Vico
Imagine countless tiny shards of glass and broken plastic marbles.
You can scrape them, roll them irregularly, or make them bounce.
These shattered marbles can even be held in your hands and used as an improvised shaker.
That’s the vibe of this instrument: raw, tactile, and unpredictable.
The three oscillators, which can be turned on or off,
mimic the behavior of a nearly broken motor.
You can adjust the LFO timing and, of course, the oscillation frequency.
When all oscillators are active, they generate fascinating textures,
perfect for noise and drone music.
In the second example, we can see what happens when the instrument is mapped with three LFOs to generate sounds algorithmically.
