RHYTHMIC TRANSPOSER

RHYTHMIC TRANSPOSER

programmed by Remo De Vico

I’ve always considered Ableton’s transpose function a key tool for sound design,

even though it wasn’t specifically designed for that purpose.

By quickly or rhythmically altering the transpose,

you can achieve significant tonal variations.

However, the problem lies in its limitations—you can only map it to a single instrument or work slowly through automation.

That’s where this device comes in handy.

You can add it as an effect to any track you want and access additional features beyond Ableton’s built-in transpose.

For example, you can adjust the range linearly or create stepped jumps for more rhythmic changes.

You can even use pitch shifts interactively with a touchpad,

opening up entirely new possibilities.
